Last May 31st, Via Trading (Salon I) moved to a bigger warehouse – its third location in five years. It’s new address is 2520 Industry Way, Lynwood, CA 90262. The phone number is still 323.232.1616. Via Trading also has a new virtual location - a page on MySpace at www.myspace.com/viatrading, and the rent is free!
Off Price Network (Salon V) of Los Angeles announced that they are now carrying the James Perse brand of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, as well as the hot Fabrizzio Giani brand of high fashion denim jeans, jackets and skirts for women in their 30s and beyond.

Baron Distributors (Booth #393) of Los Angeles proudly reports that their president, Edward Penhaskashi, was married on June 22nd. Unofficial reports indicate that his lovely new bride Davina will make an appearance at the show in August. The company has confirmed that Edward’s brother Robert is still looking and very available!
Barr Wholesale (Booth #365) of Pompano Beach, Florida welcomes back Mitch Porvin after a hiatus from the business. Their son Justin is finally a doctor and their daughter is finally a registered nurse. Jeff reports that they obviously take after their mother!!! Many of you remember them as young kids.
Capico Accessories (Booth #354) has new ownership, Jeff and Marshall Ackerman.
Capico is now located in Cherry Hill New Jersey and has added designer sunglasses to the merchandise mix. We still feature national branded ladies and men’s handbags and wallets and we now accept all major credit cards as well as Paypal. There is no minimum and we drop ship all over the world. Spartanburg, South Carolina-based Jefco Cohen International, LLC (Booth #484) expanded their staff with the hiring of Brenda Janke. She will be working as a sales associate to accommodate any questions regarding our product, deliveries, inventory, and any other questions the off price community may have. Los Angeles-based DeLuxe Off-Price (Booth #513) opened for business in the first quarter of 2008. They feature fashion forward juniors and other women’s clothing at below wholesale pricing. They will be presenting with a custom booth and custom mannequin displays. Unconfirmed reports say that a new corporate website will be launched sometime this Summer.

JDM Merchandise (Booth #646) – an exhibitor since the third show – has moved its showroom to 102nd West 38th Street, 2nd Floor in New York. The showroom is available by appointment only. The phone number remains the same at 212.921.2999. Jerry Duitz, the founder and President, has now transformed his company from an Off Price Wholesaler into a Promotional Scrub Uniform business with hundreds of colors and prints under the Cassandra O Label which can be found in stores nationwide.
Nothing But Net Clothing, Inc. (Booth 634) of Cerritos, CA launched a new website in July called nbngear.com.
Jack Dweck, formerly of New York-based M. Hidary & Company, started his own company called SD Wholesale LLC (Booth 690) who will be exhibiting for the first time this August. Product offerings consist of men’s and boys apparel; and men’s, women’s and children’s underwear. Brand names include Fruit of the Loom, Russell Athletic, Hanes and more. Located on 10 W. 33rd Street, Suite 1119 in New York, Jack and his team are looking forward to providing customers with reliable service coupled with accurate product knowledge, low prices and great value, as well as emphasizing products that customers want. They also carry a wide variety of famous leather and suede gloves, as well as other great items for Fall and Holiday, including sportswear and accessories.

Lawrence (Larry) Manus of United Auctions LLP (Booth #846) and his wife Ruth, are proud to announce the 2008 graduation of their daughter, Allison Dara Manus. Allison attended graduate school at Teachers College of Columbia University earning a Master of Arts degree with honors, specializing in Social-Organizational Psychology. She also completed internships at Harper Collins Publishing and DKNY. Allison is currently employed at LyonHeart, a division of Omnicom, as an HR associate in New York City.
